Question about MNSSHP--Entry into Park

We'll be going to MNSSHP Thursday, October 20th and I've never been.
We will just be attending the party that night and wondered about getting to the park by 4 p.m. Have read about getting there pre partytime.
Question: if you get to the MK by 4, do they let you in with just the party ticket at 4 and if they let you in, can you "do" the MK like everyone else until the party or do you have to wait at the gate until the party officially starts at 7?

I've not been to MNSSHP (yet -- see my sig), but from what I understand, it is the "unoffical" policy that you may be admitted to the MK at 4 p.m. with just your party ticket. At that point, you are just like every other guest in the park, and may visit every attraction you can before they start coralling you into TL.

What time does the park close to the general public?

It closes at 6:00 and the party starts at 7:00.

Just be aware that between 6 and 7 they clear the park and will send everyone into one "land". so if there is anyway you can have a ressie for dinner at 6, that is perfect.

We are gonna give it a shot at getting in at 4pm. How do they tell the guests for the party from the others, is there an armband. Sorry to sound naive but I'm a first timer as well. Kat

Yes there are wristbands for the party. You will have a blast!

During the 6-7 party getting ready hour, does anyone know which restaurants are open to get ADRs at? or even just to eat at?

I know you can get ressies at Liberty Tree and at Tony's. We're eating at Tony's at 5:30pm. Not sure about other restaurants, though, as this is our first MNSSHP too!

We just did the party Friday. The herded everyone into Adventureland. We grabbed a quick bite at Pecos Bills and then went on Aladins carpets and PoC, both we walked right on, no waiting!
