Looking to try some mini golf on our next trip. Can anyone tell me the cost per person? Is it worth the time? We will be doing this on our down day. Sleep in swim at the pool, maybe lunch at DTD. then try Mini golf at Winterland/Summerland (is that the name?) Then dinner at Cape May clambake. In all our trips we have never taken the kids to a Disney Mini golf and they might enjoy it....or not?:confused3

I did it for the first time last Sept. We went to Fantasia Gardens and I really enjoyed it. I think it will be great to do this on your off day! If I remember correctly it was like $12 for an adult and maybe $9 for kids. After we got done and turned our club's in we got a limited edition Tinker Bell golf ball. I was super excited since Tink is my favorite character! This Sept we are going to give Winter Summerland a try. Also if you go to the arcade at your resort and take your picture in the photobooth you will more than likely get a 15% off coupon at the bottom of your pictures.

Hope that helps :goodvibes

I wonder if the adult price starts at age 10 like the dining plan?? and thanks for the tip about the arcade! We usually go in to use that voucher that comes with the package...but it would only give 15% off of one person correct?

It's 15% off your whole party! I'm pretty sure 10 would be considered an adult. I don't children so I don't really pay attention to that.

Hey.
Me and my BF done them both in 2009. It seemed the Fantasia Gardens needed a bit of an update to me. We could see lots of water jets that never went off (maybe them switch them off during off peak months?) But the christmas themed one was great!
We both got a golf ball with Stitch on it and a sharpie pen (slightly random addition)

oh, and I won both times!

I am interested in this information also. I am doing the DDP for the first time and it includes a 1 session discount and I am not certain if that is 1 person or a discount for everyone in that room.

:confused3

beside the discounts for Fantasia golf listed above, the standard one from the wdw package and taking photos to get a discount >? are there others like AAA... any other discounts I can find ?

thanks.

so for our family of 4 could we use the 1 free round of golf coupon from the package, and then use the 15% off for the rest of us? I never understood why they would give 1 coupon for a package that includes a family of 4??? We will use the coupon for the arcade, then take a picture in the photo booth for the 15% OFF coupon.

Very first post EVER ;) So I don't have any cute signatures or anything...

Winter Summerland is by far my most favorite place ever to putt-putt. I'm not so good at it, and the boyfriend beats me 102% of the time we play. Its around 12 dollars for adults, and I think every time you play, if you play a second round its half off, which is great if you can't decide which side to do. I love the constant Christmas music, and the obsticles are super cute! Its fun for a little burst of winter in 90+ degree weather. :thumbsup2

and most of the time, they have some type of bonus or freebie that you get. We got a limited edition grumpy ball at the fantasia golf course and the tinkerbell ball at winter summerland last time. ♥

just bumping again to see if anyone knows of any discounts as I know people that are interested to go and don't have the package with the discount !
thanks.

Seems we got a discount coupon in the back of our Birnbaum travel guide, seems to me I see one each year. So there is another source for a coupon as well as the one I always get with my Disney Documents when staying on site.

We enjoy mini golf, never gotten the free golf ball tho, hope we would get one some day.:yay:

I'm subbing in, we plan to play the mini golf on our first day since we are driving and getting in around noon we figure we'll play golf until our room is ready! Thank you for the discount information!

For mini-golf...
Anyone can get 50% off a second round on the same day.

Disney World Annual, Premium Annual and Seasonal Passholders get 50% off miniature golf, for the passholder and up to 3 guests.

Disney Vacation Club members get a 15% discount on rounds of miniature golf for members and up to three guests.

Birnbaum's Walt Disney World 2011 has a coupon in the back good for 10% off one round of miniature golf before 4:00 pm, good for up to 4 people. Expires 12/31/11.

We went just this past May to Fantasia Gardens and with the coupon and our CAA discount it came to just over $6 a person. We booked our vacation through CAA and got the diamond discount card, I forget the exact discount but after we combined the 2 discounts it was a great deal. We will definately go golfing again.

thanks to all that have offered great info on the Mini Golf! We are excited to try it out in April:cool1: does anyone have pics that the would like to share of Winterland/Summerland? Now we just have to plan which day will be our down day during the vacation! Mini golf and maybe the Cane fishing at POR are on our list so far ;)

Sorry I don't have any pictures but here is link to a pretty good video:

I just wanted to post my vote for this course. We absolutely love it and have been doing it since our kids were little. We are partial to the Winterland side vs. the Summerland as the Winter plays Christmas music and has the lights strung like a Christmas tree lot. It is a must do on every trip and my kids couldn't imagine going to Disney and not playing mini golf here.

Enjoy! :goodvibes

thank-you for the link to that video!!! AWESOME!!!! can't believe in all our trips, we've never done this! If staying at ASMO could we just take the bus to Blizzard beach and its right there???? we would be going mini golfing when they open in the am.

Just wanted to add my :thumbsup2 to winter summerland mini golf!! We've also done Fantasia Gardens as well! We try to do mini-golf every trip!!
