hi, everyone. this is my first time posting, but i've been lurking for a while and you all always give such great advice, so i'm hoping someone can help me out. and i'm sorry for the length of this post. i'm a rather wordy girl :)

my husband is in the military and we have gone to disneyland using the military salute tickets twice. each time, we have experienced something different, both at the itt office and at the parks.
the first time (2 yrs ago), the itt office printed the names of our guests on their tickets and we were only required to show military i.d. upon activation of the tickets.
the second time (1 yr ago), they didn't ask for any names. i want to say that each ticket had my husband's name on it and they asked for i.d. every time we went thru the gates.
since then, we've purchased annual passes.
my mom's birthday is this weeked and my sister is about to go away to college, so as a birthday/going away gift to them, we are taking them to disneyland. my husband bought the tickets today. 1 ticket says, "john doe," the other says, "john doe's party." we've never seen it done this way before and now i'm worried that my mom or sister won't be able to get in since one ticket is supposed to be my husband's. my husband and i will both be there during the entire visit, so i'm hoping it won't be a problem. but i'm so scared that one (or all!) of us will be denied entry.
can anyone tell me how strict they are about this? i'm so worried that our trip will be ruined :(

Hello!

I believe that your husband would also have to buy and use one of the passes vs his annual pass if this is even possible.

You could also call the park and see what they say.

As far as I know, if you and your DH have annual passes, they cannot use the Armed Forces Salute tickets. One of the users in the party MUST be active duty military or spouse.

You should plan on the possibility of your family members being denied entry, or forced to upgrde those tickets to regular 3 day hoppers.

thank you for your replies! all night i kept dreaming about being banned for disneyland for "cheating." it was awful, haha.
i'll called the park and they said my husband doesn't need his own ticket since he has an annual pass. and since the guests' names all need to be correct, we just need to take the etickets to the ticketbooth instead of going straight to the turnstile, explain the situation, and they will fix it.
crisis averted! what a relief! disneyland here we come!

Be prepared for a different answer when you get there. The Disneyland phone hotline is notorious for giving out incorrect information. I've been a victim of that more than once.

The Armed Forces Salute has VERY explicit rules governing its use and Disneyland is in the process of enforcing rules on multi day tickets to an obsessive degree.

yeah, a tiny part of me is worried that we'll still have a problem and we're prepared to buy another ticket if we have to. i'm keeping my fingers crossed.
