I'm curious, the park closes early for the party, opens for guest who paid for MNSSHP(mickey's not so scary halloween party)...How do the cm's know who paid and who did not? How do the get the people who did not pay to leave prior to the party? :confused3

When you are admitted to the park (as early as 4pm) with your MNSSHP tickets, you will be given a wristband. Guests in the park who do not have wristbands will be directed out of the park. Accoring to people who have already been to the first two parties, the CM's have been very diligent and thorough in getting the guests without wristbands out of the park by 7pm.

Can't wait to go to my first MNSSHP on 10/5!!!! :cool1:

with so many people at the park..hmmm...
we were there for the extra hours this month and saw plenty of people riding without wristbands.

I think (and hope) you will find that the CMs try to be a lot more diligent about checking for wristbands during the special party nights. From what I understand, they have been pretty good at removing those without wristbands before the party stuff gets going. If someone remains in the parks during an evening EMH, they can't go on the rides, but that's about it if they don't have a wristband. I doubt if a CM would say anthing to them if they saw them buying something in a store. But, during a hard ticketed event, I believe the CMs will stop anyone they see without a wristband since that person would be able to watch, for free, a parade/fireworks/stageshows that others had paid specifically to see. I believe they make announcements before the official closing, then CMs start 'sweeping' those non-party goers toward the front of the park at park closing time.
Since we have't heard anything to the contrary so far, I can only assume it has been working. I truly believe that we would have heard if it had become an issue since there were so many people that were concerned about Disney's ability to clear the park of non-wristbanded people.

Well lets be honest, in using a wristband system, there's only so much they can do. Also, I'm sure there's only so much they WANT to do.

I'm sure the CM's try to enforce it but, in my experiences, even up to last year, it's a lost hope really. Now, they CAN enforce who rides, as they can ask. However, it's very hard for them to monitor it in terms of people walking in the park when many people this time of year at night wear long sleeve clothing (especially MVMCP).

They do ask for wristbands when they move the guests to a certain area of the park but, we saw such a large group of people going into Liberty Square from the hub, over the bridge, and only 2 CM's checking. We had our wristbands but, we went through unchecked as did MOST people.

While most of the non paying guests dont ride rides, they can w2alk around and shop main St.

Thank You, I was curious about this, as I paid for our tickets and it wouldn't be fair to have others who didn't enjoy a special event.

One big difference is those going to the parties paid big bucks. EMH are free.

They try much harder to get non-paying guests out for the parties than they do for EMH and they have many more CMs working party nights as well.

They make several announcements through the night that the park is closing and that if you do not have tickets to the party that you must leave.

All reports so far indicate that the CMs are doing a pretty darn good job of clearing out the park.

Firsthand from the 1st party we did see many wristbands and while we weren't specifically looking for people who didn't have them, you saw some here & there. With short sleeves and flourescent orange bands, it is pretty easy to see who has one & who doesn't.

I wasn't keeping track, but noticed people here & there who didn't have them on.

I was at the party 2 years ago. Arrived at the park after it started. We were not given any braclets when we entered the park. I did notice some guests and had the braclets and some did not.

Hey---I have a question about this also. So if you aren't doing the MNSSHP you can not see the fireworks for that night?

And if the parks closes at 8:00 (non-party night)and the fireworks aren't scheduled until 9 --- how does that work? We are going next week and this will help with the planning..... :confused3

Thanks

I'm so excited! We finally decided to attend a MNSSHP while we're in WDW next week and we got tix for Oct 5! I can hardly wait!!

Stay tuned to the official calendar. The times "should" change. This happens often and is simply an error and is usually updated at some point.

To answer your first question: Yes. However, it still happens that many hang around on Main St.

I've noticed there are only a few checkpoints throughout the park. I just hope they do a better job this year since it is so expensive to go and would like a little less crowd

When I was there this year, they did what seemed like a good job of sweeping the park. I don't know how they handled the 'lands' but I had gone to the front of the park to pick something up and when I tried to walk back up Main Street, there was a line of CMs stretching across the street, walking down the street towards the park entrance.. You had to show your wristband or you weren't allowed to pass through and were swept out. I know there are ways around any system, but they seemed to do a good job.
