Question about meeting cast members in other departments

I am a design major with hopes of one day becoming an Imagineer for the company. I have applied & have a phone interview for the DCP Fall 2016 next week. I was wondering if there would be a way if (when/if hired) it is able for me to meet with someone in design that works within the resort? I'd want to just chat with them about how they got where they are, which classes to take and so on.

Sorry it isn't too specific, kind of hard to word it haha.

Talk to your managers. Let them know about your background, and that you're interested in that sort of thing.

Although Disney employs 65,000 people just in Florida, a lot of times people move around from role to role, and are working with others that do the same. It's quite possible that your managers know someone, or "know someone who knows someone", and can send an email for you.

Definitely talk to your leaders!! My roommate was able to do some cool career development type meetings by explaining to them her career plans.

DCP also puts on events throughout the semester that focus on different career aspects, including panels with different people throughout the company. I spoke at one as a PI, and went to several that were industry-specific for PIs. If it works with your schedule, go to these as they can be a great way network with many people throughout the company at many different levels.
