Question about McDOnald's Pins

Hi Everyone,

I know when I have a pin question this is the place to go. A family member just recently gave DD a set of McDonald pins PP# 1418-1423. Immediately DD says to me, mom I can use these for traders.

So I guess my question is,can she because they are McDonald pins trade them with CM's in the park and most importantly Should she trade them or hang on to them as it is a set?

And there are those out there, but I have not ever seen a CM refuse a pin to a child.

If you are an adult the rules change a bit, for adults there are two kinds of CM traders with lanyard or CMTL's as I call them.

Those that just trade and dont care, or the pin nazi's which inspect the pin for 5 minutes and make sure its 100% Disney.

My DD said that they do say Disney on the back. So I'll tell her that she can use them as trader.

Hey, I met a few pin Nazi's!
Often I traded a lanyard for a lanyard. No problem at all. Perfectly understandable. Or I give something I thought was as good.
But the one I recall the most was on the last trip. We were in the restaurant/indoor market in Mexico.
I saw a pin that I knew I didn't have and that I liked. (Pin 8229: WDW 30th Anniversary - Blue Castle/Corrected Version. I'm like a kid -- I like big pins! )
A pin nazi had it on. I *had* to give her a *good* pin for it. I gave her a MoM NE pin, and she wasn't too happy about it. I explained it wasn't bad -- probably an LE of 1200. Still looked pretty disgusted with me. Guess NE just isn't popular!
I REALLY thought I had GREAT pin the way she acted! I talked to JudithM later and found out it was nice -- but not like the CM acted.
But at least I have a memorable moment with that *special* pin!

With TS pins -- I traded for a few from CM lanyards. I was able to get the whole series later. Anything TS -- I like. I have even traded for *those* Spain pins!
