Last year was my first year going that weekend and I was curious as to the crowds usually at that time of year.
The crowds seemed to be very manageable, but there seemed to be ALOT of what appeared to be Latin American/Southern American soccer teams/clubs there that weekend.
It has nothing to do with where they are from, but the size of their groups caused serveal problems for us. They seemed to walk arm in arm, 5+ wide down main street USA, through HS an a few times my wife literally had to walk from the right side of ths street all the way over the curb on the left side so she wouldn't be stuck in the middle of them. I don't think they were trying to be rude, as they would usually smile and say "I'm sorry" if they bumped us, but when we return in 2011 for the marahon we'll have our 1 year old in a stroller.
My question is for those who usually go that weekend. Is that also a big weekend for some type of international soccer tournament? Is there any way I can check the schedule for what tournaments Disney hosts at what time of year?
