I am seriously trying to convince my mom to come to Disney with me in November, and I thought I'd make the best of both worlds by trying a cruise. My question is, what is included in the price of the land/sea vacation? I know the hotel is included, but what kind of park passes are included? I would appreciate any kind of advice for a newbie.

Thanx

Hi Jules! The resort hotel and Ultimate Park Hopper Passes are included in the land portion of the land/sea package. These give you unlimited to all four parks, the water parks, Pleasure Island and DisneyQuest from the time you check into your hotel until the time you depart for the ship.

Hope that helps! :)

We did the 3 day land/4 day sea package this past summer. Our conclusion was that 3 days wasn't enough to really get all of DW (especially in the summer) and that 4 days was MUCH too short of a cruise. We're already planning a 7-day cruise in about 2-3 years (takes awhile to save all those pennies), and have decided that if we ever did DW again, it would be a separate vacation.

Having said that, we still had a great time on our 3/4. My biggest piece of advice on the land part is to arrive the day before your land part is supposed to start. Stay in an off-site motel ($30-40) so that you can spend your entire first day actually in the parks (you can pick up your Ultimate Park Hopper passes first thing in the morning from your hotel even if your room isn't ready). Then on your first "cruise" day, spend the morning in one of the parks (yes, your passes will still be good!) before heading for the port.

We are leaving on our 3 day land/4 day sea cruise on Sunday!!! We added 3 days to our land stay so we can really enjoy WDW. As stated above, your park hopper passes are included and that is about it. Transfers to/from airport and resort to port are not included. You can also add on to the land portion by taking advantage of the plans they have...Discovery and Deluxe plans are two of them. We added the Discovery (I think it was $300 pp) which can be used for 2 wishes a day (a meal, recreation, gifts, photos, spa, etc) We are using all of our toward meals...it really pays for itself between convienence and price, I think.

Good luck convincing...it shouldn't be hard!
