Question about kids meals

i'm just wondering if adults can order the kids counter service meals?

based on our last trip we are full after having late table service meals and don't really want or need to adult sized counter service meals at dinner but would be ok with the size that we bough dd in the spring.

have you guys every ordered the kids meals?

Yes we have done this alot and they never question us on it

Yes, you can. Anyone, regardless of age, can order a child's counter service meal. It only gets complicated when you are on the dining plan, but an adult can order a child's meal and pay an adult credit for it.

Of course you can do this. Many families only send one person to order food while everyone else waits. How does the person at the counter know what the make up of your party? They aren't going to know that an adult is getting a kids meal. Its not like a TS where they actually wait on you individually. And on that topic - my dd who is 11 had no trouble ordering kids meals at TS restaurants.

They've let us do this many times. Like a previous poster said, even with the meal plan, you can do this, you just get charged for an adult meal. I have a picky child (he's an adult according to Disney) and he will sometimes order off of the children's menu.

Another option is to order the items "a la carte" - without the fries or whatever or to share a counter service meal.

Most places I would not want to order from the kids menu.

I have paid OOP for child's meals too, no questions asked. The kid's meal at Cantina San Angel in Epcot only cost $3.99 in April, altough I think it has now gone up. It was meant to be a snack but served me as dinner. DD got the soda with it and we just skipped the dessert/side or whatever was offered.

Honestly though, if you are on a Dining Plan, spend the $5 OOP. I think it is really worth the $5, but a total waste of an adult cs, unless you have too many CS left and are trying to use them up. Just my opinion.
