Question about kids meals and ages...

When we go to disney next year, my girls will be 5, 8, and 10. I've noticed that all the kids meals say ages 3-9. Would I be breaking rules to get my 10 year old a kids meal? Would anybody care? I certainly don't want to (and won't) lie about her age, I'm just wondering if I *can* order a kids meal for a 10 year old. Thanks!

You can order a kids meal for an adult

One exception to this rule is the WOC premium dining. You have to order for age on that one. I don't know though, they may let older kids order off of the kids' menu, but you would still have to pay the adult price for a 10 year old. (I know, because I have one myself!) There may be other exceptions, such as the Big Thunder BBQ and other type meals, but just ordering a kids meal off of a menu from a CS restaurant--you're good to go.

At things like Character meals and premium dining experiences the 10 year old would pay the adult price. I'd say the exception would be the WOC picnic meals since they are all the same price.

But everywhere else she can order a kids meal.

Ok to answer your question OP, I don’t see why you can’t order your ten year old a kids meal. Sometimes I order the kids meals, I just can’t eat a lot of food—and I am 30! so I doubt it will be a big deal-you won’t be breaking rules. I don’t know about for special dining packages, but for general meals like if you’re family eats lunch at Tomorrow land Terrace then it should not be a problem.

As has been previously said, yes, you can order from the kids' menu for your 10 year old as long as it's not a dining experience. Places that have characters or special deals (like the all you can eat BBQ) will charge the adult price for your 10 year old. I have ordered from the kids' menus and my DD13 does too, they don't complain too much if it's a counter service type of deal.

There is no absolutely no "enforcement" of kids meal age limits at Disney unless its a buffet or pre fixe.
