I am a bit confused about the kids dining plan. We got the deluxe dining so we each get an appetizer, meal and dessert. I see kids meals and desserts, but not appetizers. Do we just get one for the table or each get one? And where do the kids order theirs from if we each get one? I don't see any listed for the kids so do they order from the ones listed or do they not get one. I know my husband will want something greasy and I will want salad. The kids likely chips and dip if offered. So how does it work?

As far as I know the deluxe dining plan does not include appetizers. We had it in Oct and it was entree, dessert and drink.

It's the Deluxe plus, with 3table meals band two snacks, I just checked and it does have each person receives and appetizer, medal, dessert and drink.

Well, I broke don and called Disney yet again. Adults do each get their own, but kids do not get one. The kids just have to eat off the kids menu. I think that stinks for the kids. We will be doing a couple of buffets so it won't matter there, but the kids choices are already so limited. I guess mine will be going to the kids, likely my desserts too since pudding and ice cream seem to be the only things for the kids.

I answered on your other thread. Kids do get apps but they are kid apps that consist of soup, small salad, carrots and celery, fruit etc. Desserts are usually sundae's, fruit, cupcakes, cookies etc. Buffets will probably work best for you

At TS restaurants the children will get an appetizer, but not from the adult menu. There are a some listed on the children's menu such as soup, salad, fruit cup, vegetable sticks. We found that since each adult gets an appetizer, there is plenty for everyone to share at the table.

Likewise, while the children's desserts are limited to those on the children's menu, some are fun and definitely child oriented so worth ordering. Again, however, since every adult also gets a dessert there's plenty to share.

Here are a couple of sites with menus to give you an idea of what's available:
