Just wondered if anyone heard of this.....Madison (7) tends to run very low temps.....like 95 and even 94 at times. Today she was outside and comes in asking for a jacket. She said she was cold...but it was in the upper 70's and quite muggy. I took her temp (thermoscan) in both ears at least 4 times and the readings were anywhere from 95.2 to 95.8. I just find this weird and wondered if I should be overly concerned.

I looked up some stuff on the net and found that it could be a sign of low thyroid:confused:

She is due for a well checkup this year so I guess I need to make a mental note to ask...or do you think I should call and ask the doctor tomorrow?

It doesn't happen all the time....but it does every now and then.

Her legs and arms were freezing when I touched them too.

I just checked and it is now 97.1 (which isn't too concerning)

Thanks for your help

Lisa

I think if you are concerned you should call the doctor. If nothing else it will give you peace of mind.

Yes, I would definately ask the doctor about it. That does seem quite low and I would be worried about a metobolic problem. It is probably just her, but I think it is worth checking out!

I run a low temp all the time - some people just do! I'd definately ask the Dr. about it, but try not to worry.
