Question about Home Resort!

You all are so helpful! Thank you!

Well- I found a listing on one of the resale websites that seems to good to pass up. I have talked to the agent a few times, and I am ready to jump- my husband is dragging his feet a little...

Here is the story- the listing has been there for a week and a half. It is a 300 pt SSR w/ the 2010 points banked, for $66/point.

I say jump, my husband thinks there will be more options available...

Thoughts from the experts?

(Just thought- maybe it's not appropriate to put cost? Not offended at all if this post needs to be deleted :))

Seems like a great price, my only concern from what I hear from others is that you may be better off with two smaller contracts (2- 150's). If you need to resell for whatever reason, it is easier to get rid of the smaller contracts. With that being said, we have a 200, 150, (both SSR) and 150 (AKV). One of the things to think about with that is, do you want both at the same resort? Probably since you will always need a 2BR. As I said before, THV's are our favorite (along with sav view at AKV-Kidani). The 2 BR at Kidani have 3 baths vs 2 at SSR and THV's. Not sure if that needs to weigh in at all or not. Personally, I think if you want to stay at THV's you will need that 11 month booking window. We have called at the 11th month mark with no issue getting a THV (twice).

If you do not plan on reselling, and things are pretty stable financially with you guys, go for it. If things are a little shaky financially (risk of job loss for example) then I would go with the two smaller contracts so you can sell one if need be! Let us know what you decide.

I don't think that is a particularly great price. I recently spent quite a bit of time shopping for contracts and saw quite a few more enticing contracts than the one you reference. It's not a terrible price either, but the point is, there's no need to rush into a decision, as you will see many similar contracts for sale. Good luck!
