My mom is freaking out because I told her that AKV has no twin beds. She said it will not work because she needs a twin bed to reach across and reposition my brother (which she does about 10 times per night.) Will they bring in a twin bed for me if I request one? If not rollaway? She is also considering trying to find a supplier that will deliver a hospital bed. Any thoughts? My brother has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy is 14 and weighs 200 pounds so being on a queen my mom is not able to reach around him and get leverage I guess, it was hard for her to explain.

you can rent a hospital bed. That might be the easiest option for her.
There are some places listed in the disABILITIES FAQs thread that rent wheelchairs which also rent equipment like that - look in the 'full service equipment rental companies'. You might also want to rent a Hoyer lift or other equipment.
I would not bother to ask around or try to call the resort. I would call directly to the Special Needs Department. The number is listed in the disABILITIES FAQs thread in the post about resort accomodations. They will be able to help you get what she needs (even contact with rental companies).

Some of the rooms at AKV have a pull out chair that acts as a twin. I can tell you that they're not the most comfortable. If he has a hospital bed at home then probably that would be the best option to rent one.---Kathy
