We are thinking about possibly adding on the MK package and getting our pictures taken in the park before opening. ( I have just found my perfect dress and it is such a "princess gown" that I think it would be a shame to not have those pictures!) I have planned on using Disney cosmotology to do my hair and make-up before this. Here's the question: Will I need to have them come back to "fix" things before our 1:00 ceremony? Has anyone had this problem? We are getting married on New Years Day at Sunrise Terrace. Thanks for any help you can give me!

Oh how romantic getting married on New Years Day on the Terrace - I can't wait to hear all about it and it will be here before you know it.

I'm sure that some past brides have had a touch up but I'm not sure if this costs extra. I just think you're terribly brave getting up soooo early on the day of your wedding I'm struggling with knowing that Disney Cosmo will be with me at 7.00am ;)

That is so cool!!! I got married on New Years Eve my first wedding. I think you should play it by ear. If you see that your make-up needs to be touched up maybe yu could have them come back. If you feel confident that it will last the day, then don't stress. Surely, you could touch it up if necessary. I can't stand to have anyone touch my make-up but me. Congrats to you.:sunny:

I've heard that the sealer they use is fantastic and the makeup really lasts all day. They also give you touch up brushes for your lipstick, so I think you should be fine! We are having the MK session the day after our vow renewal. I can't wait!!!

DD28 used Disney Cosmetology for her wedding - they young lady visited with her the day before the wedding and tried various shades of makeup and fixed her hair around the headpiece just the way she wanted it. They also asked what area of the county we were from when she made the appointment so they could send an artist from the same area - differences in the area you live in make hair styling and makeup application very different!!!!

The day of the wedding, the artist showed up at 4 a.m. so everything could be done for the Castle sitting - DD looked like a model!!!!! She needed no touch ups at all!!! Wedding was at 10a.m. and reception followed until 3p.m. She still had lipstick on till the end and her hair looked beautiful for the rest of the night.

BTW, the Castle portraits are absolutely beutiful - some of them look like magazine ads!!!!

Just wondering-
If you choose to have an MK setting on a day other then your wedding, does it still count towards your expenditure?

Becky,

I assume it does, as without it, I would have been under my minimium, and it did come on my final accounting from Disney.

I think it's $750, but don't quote me on that! I just asked for more info from Disney about it and when I get it I'll post the real price.

I had my Bridal Portrait taken at the MK and believe me - it was worth it! I also used the cosmotologists from Disney - and they use MAC make up. It lasts a really long time. I didn';t have the bridal portrait taken the same day as the wedding - but on the day of the wedding - my hair and make-up was done starting 2 hours befor the wedding. When it was all over and we got baik to the hotel 7 hours later - my hair and make-up still looked fresh. the only thing I ever needed to retouch was lipstick - but the make up artist gave me some for touch-ups during the wedding. I think you will be fine.
