question about getting photo quality prints made a printing places

i want to get some B&w and monochromatic photos put onto transparencies...does anyone know if Kinko's or some place similar can produce photo quality b&w photos ? would it depend on their machines or the ability of the printers? i have one local photo place that does in house work but not sure they are able to put them on transparencies...
they print off OK on my printer but not a good B&w, more gray and white.
