We will be at DW April 13-19, my family, my sister's family and my brother. We didn't decide to go until after my sister had already made her plans and then my brother decided to come for a couple days. Anyway we have 2 reservations for 4 at Garden Grill about 15 min apart on the Monday evening. My family is 4, my sisters family is 4 + my brother will be 9. Question: if we all show up at the earlier time(5:20 I think) what are the chances we could combine our parties, add 1 for my brother and all sit together?

You could cancel both reservations and make 1 new reservation for 9 ppl.

I don't think I would feel comfortable going early and ask to combine parties from 2 reservations, and add 1 to your group.

If you combine your group and eat all together, don't forget you will incur the automatic gratuity being added to your bill since you will be a large group.

You could always call Disney Dining and talk with a CM.

Honestly the only thing you can do is show up early, ask as nicely as possible, and hope they can accommodate you. No guarantees on either thing, I'm afraid. :guilty:

I'm just curious, why would asking that make you uncomfortable?

Honestly, that's just the type of person that I am.
I wouldn't want to cause a problem or make someone uncomfortable if they couldn't manage the request at the last minute.

There is no guarantee as maxiesmom said.

If you definately want to eat together
If it were me, I would cancel the 2 reservations and simply make a new one with a party of 9. Then there is no worries about them not being able to honor the request.

I can't change the res, as of yet my sister does not know we are coming. We can hopefully keep it a secret and surprise them. The T A booked our res at the closest time possible. Not a huge deal if we can't sit together. I have no problems asking, I can't see why that would make anyone uncomfortable, all they can do is no but I guess the real question is if that particular restaurant is always packed?
