Hey all! I was just looking at the calendar for this weekend, as I'll be Sat/Sun. There are not fireworks on Saturday night, but there are on Sunday. I'm wondering why none on Saturday, which would seems to be a higher traffic day..... does anyone know?

Also, is something going on this weekend? Hotel rooms a little difficult to find and higher rates.

Thanks!

Last Sunday I was there and there were no fireworks that weekend. The weather was fine for fireworks and no wind. I do not know why there are no fireworks but my friend was so ecstatic over Fantasmic that it did not matter.

From what I've been reading....the weekends have been packed with the birthday promotion this year & making annual passes for S. Cali residents easier to get with their monthly payment plan. The fireworks schedule has been very sparatic & they go nightly starting Sunday...... trust me I'd been watching the schedule like a hawk, since they are my favorite thing & we'll be coming in on Saturday for the week!!!!!!!
Maybe we'll see ya there, have a great trip!

I love going to the parks but I need to get an ECV to own as $45 a day is too much for me to be paying right now. Give me a date and I might do a meet and greet and even a guided tour lol.

I just got back & was told by CM there are no fireworks because of the paving on Main St. With the barriers in the way its a hazard. I would block the view to. No parade @ DL either

The main reason we have fireworks on Sunday and not Saturday is that Sunday marks the first day of the Spring Break season, which means that it's the day that the Main Street repavement will be finally complete

My bad.......no cheerleaders this weekend......but they will be there again the weekend of Mar. 20th (right when I get there......bummer). There could be other stuff going on at the Convention Center though.

I am glad to hear this. :cool1: I totally expected walls to still be up on Main Street when we go in a few weeks.

I was told a few years back that during the school year they dont have fireworks on school nights because locals complain about it waking the kids.

The fireworks are actually set off out side the parks and it only looks like it is above the castle. We were down there a couple years ago and they canceled them because of wind. They said that the city has some controles over when they can fire them off. Sometimes it could be for otherthings going on outside the parks.
