Do you have redness on your face after a professional facial? TIA

nope, I never have. I have pretty sensitive/fair skin, that tends to be on the dry side. my skin always feels wonderfully hydrated afterwards.

What kind of redness? Temporary inflammation and redness in areas there were extractions is normal.

That's what I meant. How long does that last? Is it severe?

It should go away in a day or two, depending on the amount done.

Thanks! :sunny:

I want to have a facial done, but I'm afraid of what my face will look like afterwards. :bitelip: I went to a wedding years ago, where the bride had a facial the day before the wedding. Her face was swollen and red, so that image stuck with me. :bitelip: I guess it just needs to be done a week before a special event.

On the last 2 facials I had my face broke out very badly--I am prone to breakouts during stressful times and went for the facial to help deal with the breakout and it made it worse---At first I thought it was a rash because of the redness but then my face had more pimples on it than when I walked thru the door!

Normally I get them on my chin area but afterwards they were all over my face---I told them what had happened and they said they would use something different the next time and they did but it had the same result--That was the last facial I had!

I should add that most anything will break my skin out though--Noxema,any type of astringent, pore cleaners etc======Now all I use is just plain soap and try to keep my stress at a minimum :lmao:

I have very sensitive skin and my face is red immediately after a facial, but it goes away within a few hours.

Yes, a week or more before a big event is a good idea. If your skin is plugged up, it may break out afterwards. It's just from junk that was brought to the surface. Keep it clean and moisturized and it will subside soon. I also steer clear of makeup and the sun until the day after a procedure.

I have a problem with red/sensitive skin, so the place I went to catered my facial around that and the red was completely gone when I came out. I loved it!
