Question about EMH?

For the first time I will be staying off property this winter. I will be using my 10 day premium park hopper days leftover from the last trip where we stayed at the POR. I know EMH is for Disney hotel guests, but I'm using the identical passes I used last time - how would they know if I'm a guest or not??

They will ask to see your room key which lists the date of your stay and your ID. The tickets aren't coded in any way to identify where you are a guest.

You have to show your resort key card.

Last time I went to EMH at AK, they swipped your card through some hand-held machine, like it was a credit card. I think that verifies that the dates are current, and that the card hasn't been previously used by someone else to obtain a wrist band. Much quicker than the CM standing there studying it. And it avoids the worry by dummies like me who ran out of their hotel room at the Boardwalk with the key of someone else in the room (who used mine!)
