Question about ECV rental at IoA

I went online to read about ECV rentals for US and they recommended calling to reserve one due to limited supply. However, when I called Guest Services today to make a reservation, the agent said reservations weren't necessary and wouldn't take one. I explained that while I understand it's 'slow' right now, I don't want to risk being without, and she said to just come to GS and get one the day of.

Do they take reservations? I know it might be silly, but I really will rest easier if I can 'know' there will be one there waiting.
