Question About Dr. Phil

I was talking to my DH the other day about Dr. Phil's show (the one with the kid who had 9 out of 14 traits of a serial killer) and he said "you know, Dr. Phil is not a real doctor". I thought he was a real doctor, via a PhD. Am I wrong?

He has a doctorate in clinical psychology.

DH and I watched the show that taught the five sure fire ways to make your newborn stop crying last year and when DH tried them they really worked! It was great and I try to always watch the parenting 101 shows because of it. I l love Dr Phil!

Thanks everyone. I knew I was right. I said to him, how could he have a show and represent himself as a doctor if he really wasn't. I think he just said that because he doesn't like Dr. Phil. I for one do

From "The Happiest Baby on The Block" by Dr. Harvey Karp. It's a GREAT book, I highly recommend it to every new parent. He also has a book called "The Happiest Toddler on the Block" and I am definately going to read it someday, LOL.
