Question about Disney rewards (sorry if this isn't the right spot to ask)

I have a Disney Rewards Visa and have rewards dollars to be used for this trip. Can I link it to my magic band or do I have to use the actual card to pay?

You have to use the Disney Rewards card to redeem. If you lost your card, there's an option for replacement on the website.

You can get the rewards card through the Chase Disney Rewards website. And hold on to that card because you can use it to reload to before your points expire. I try to dump expiring points onto the rewards card before they do expire whether I have a trip planned or not. I hate to lose those points when I don't have to.

You need to transfer the reward dollars to a Rewards Redemption Card -- which acts much like a gift card.

You have to link a credit card to MDE in order to allow for charging to your resort room account. However, you may stop by the front desk every day or so to have the Rewards Card applied to the balance. Otherwise they will automatically charge your credit card early on your check-out morning, possibly sooner in the trip if you have spent a lot.

If you want any discounts available at WDW for Disney Visa cardholders, you will need to use the credit card at the point-of-sale. They may let you have the discount with the Rewards Card, but they may also require you to show the actual Visa card. You cannot get the discount if using a MagicBand as payment.

No, it must be a credit (or debit) card linked to your MDE account for room-charging. Charging to the magicband is essentially charging to your resort room account.

See my post above about how you can use the Rewards Card to pay for those charges, though.

No you cannot link the redemption card to your magic band.
Just carry the redemption card with you and use it at the time of purchase.
I do believe it can be linked to your MDE app for mobile ordering though.

No, because it is like a gift card. So, it cannot be linked to the room.
