Question about Disney cruise

Has anyone ever used points for the cruise and not had enough points even with borrowing ahead and then paid for the difference? Since we have a family of 5 I didn't know if that would be possible for us. Maybe using points for my husband and myself and then paying for some or all of our 3 kids.

Sure, you can pay a combination of points and cash. But each individual person has to be paid totally in one or the other.

We are a family of 5...DH, me, and three children

We paid for DH and myself and cash for the kids. Plus we are staying at SSR and WLV in between the three day cruise.

I have used my points for the cruise. After your first cruise you get a discount for the second cruise. The cost depends on the time and date for the cruise.
