Below is a long version of my problem. My question is has anybody had their receiver stop working and did you sign a new contract (and pay) to replace it?
We have had trouble with dishnetwork before, but it was with the dish. This time it is the receiver.
Last night the receiver kept giving an error message about not being able to use the dvr function. It said to reset by unplugging. We tried this repeatedly. Finally got it to work and went to bed.
This morning it started in again. Went through all the stuff from last night again. Finally got it working.
This afternoon it froze. It would not respond at all. Went through reset and got a message that the hard drive was corrupt and everything needed to be deleted. Went ahead and told it ok delete it all.
Went through this a few times. Now the receiver won't even power on.
Dh told me he will take care of it tonight.
