Question about Dining Reservations if you have a Package?

Hi All!

I am getting geared up for our Dec 6-11 trip at GCH and for the first time I got a package at costco. I thought I read somewhere here that if you have a package you don't have to call 8am 60 days out for dining that you can call ahead of time and they will do it for you. Is that true?

My other question is about what I need to reserve at 60 days out-what will book up right away?

oh! In case it matters, I am pretty sure costco package = disney package. I think it's the same thing, so all perks associated with buying a package at disney.com I think I would get with costco.

You can sometimes get vacation planning to help you but honestly making dining reservations at Disneyland is super easy online I would just do it myself !!

Things that will book up quickly are Minnie and Friends early breakfasts at Plaza Inn. Many people like to go first thing before the park opens, so those go quickly. Your dates are somewhat quieter ones, so it might not be AS busy, but it's better to grab them if you can. Also, Fantasmic Dining Packages are somewhat challenging to get if you have your heart set on Blue Bayou. Especially since Fantasmic will be going down for an extended period of time, people will be trying to see it before it goes dark.

I concur with tlovesdis that making dining reservations yourself online is the way to go.

DL is not like DW. You do not have to get up at 8am and make reservations first thing. In all my looking, Blue Bayou Fantasmic pkg is really the only thing that fills up pretty quickly. I am 2 weeks out and still switching my reservations. I got a 7:10 Minnie & Friends on a 7am magic morning opening last week. That being said, if you know what you want, there is no reason to wait. You just don't have to set an alarm and be at your computer like you do to get Be Our Guest.

This is very true! I set my alarm for 3am last Wednesday morning because I had been told the Blue Bayou Fantasmic package was going on sale that day. I got the time that I wanted and have been watching ever since to see if they have sold out. It's now 5 days later and there are still a few seating times available. And that's for the F! package deal. If I had just wanted to eat lunch or dinner at BB without the F! add-on, there are more than plenty of times left on all four days I will be at DL. And that's over the Thanksgiving holiday week only 7 weeks (49 days) away.

Thanks Guys! I was thinking of doing the BB Fantasmic so I will definitely reserve that. And I will do it online too, that sounds great.
