Question about dining plan?

Hi all - we are new DVC members, this will be our first trip as DVC members - when booking our trip, can we do 2 different dining plans over our 8 night stay (at BCV) or would we need 2 separate ressies to do so? Meaning can we do the deluxe plan for say the first 3 nights (to get to do Mickeys BBQ and CRT with the extra credits) and then the traditional for the last 5 nights? Im gonna guess that we would need 2 separate ressies to do this, but Im not sure. (thats why Im asking lol)

not even sure if 2 different reservations will help.

for a while they tried letting DVC members change their dinning plans - but something did not work - so for one reservation it is one dinning plan.

since you are not changing resorts - it might be a problem even with 2 reservations - could you put one reservation in your name and the other in your partner?

Generally if one reservation is the same room type and resort as the 2nd part of the reservation, it is considered a single reservation. With two separate reservations you'd probably need to move to a different room type, view category or resort. THat would mean checking out and in, and having to move to a different room.

My experience has been that you cannot change your dining plan and everyone on the reservation has to have the same plan.
