question about developer points?

Greetings,

I meant to ask when I was speaking to my guide today...are developer points able to be used at any DVC resort/cruise or can they only be used SSR? I tried searching the boards because I think I've seen this question before, but I didn't get any results. Thanks!

I have heard previously that they are only good at SSR, but perhaps someone else can chime in here with the most recent information.

thanks! I guess I was confused because of this from the dvc website:

my DSIL who was interested to buy spoke to a guide about two weeks ago and was told she could use developer points at SSR or the World Passport Collection, for a period of 1 year or they will expire.

you can also use them at Disney Land.... Oh and remember that you cannot book SSR before 7 months out.
