Question about DAS and rider swap

So, I have a 2 yr old who isn't big enough to ride some rides my 5 yr old das wants to ride.
When we go in the spring. My brothers family is coming too.
3 adults and 4 kids.

Can you get a rider swap when you have a das?

So me and the 2yr old wait, while the rest ride the ride.
Does rider swap goes back in with the me and 2 more? Cause that would mean if I brought 2 kids, one kid would have to ride alone.
I'm thinking rides like splash, thunder mountain, 7 dwarfs.

Who will have the DAS? That person must ride when the DAS return time is used. So if it's you or the 2-yr-old, I suggest getting FP+ for the rides that the 2-yr-old can't do; either that or someone else will need to wait with the little one. Also, be prepared that typically they only allow 6 to ride on a DAS return time (the DAS holder plus 5 others), so your party may need to split at times.

Officially WDW indicates only 2 may ride on the Rider Switch pass, though I have read reports of 3 being allowed. However, kids must be 7 yrs old to ride "alone" -- meaning not on the seat next to an adult (or over 14). You can usually squeeze 2 little ones in a seat with 1 adult, though 7 Dwarfs Mine Train may not work because it has molded seats 2 across. So depending on the age of the kids and the design of the ride car, you may only be able to take 1 extra kid.

i have read it as the 5 year old has a DAS card

you will need to be older then 7 to ride alone I asked a CM ( some one who has worked at disney for over 40 years) about this and this. I asked her if a parent has 3 kids a 6,6, 4 year old how would this work when riding things like 7DMT or space she told me that disney conceder the ride car ( she said 7DMT has 4 set 2 and 2) and they would have the parent split up and sit with the youngest one and one of the 6 year olds and but one group would need to be in the same ride vehicle as the other child that dose not have any one in there party with them as fair as space since there is just single set the child under 7 can not sit in the last set

( I hope the 7DMT make since) but this is what the CM that I know told me and I have seen this when there was kids around me on the ride

I will say other have said that if there is someone under 7 they must sit next too some one over 14 but I have seen people under 7 sitting together, I am just saying this so you can plane your vacation how you want too.

and no you can not have 3 people in one row of 7DMT this ride is just 2 splash you can have 3

also in order to use a DAS card the DAS holder has to ride or be tall enough to ride so if you think the child will be to small I would get a FP for the ride

if the 5 y.o. is the DAS holder, then yes you may use rider swap. The DAS holder must ride with the first group. When you use the rider switch pass, the CM may only allow 2 people as that is Disney's published rule. If they allow 3, I would take another person who is 7 or older if possible. More than likely the CMs won't say anything. They generally only ask a child's age if they try entering the line alone. You may be questioned if you tried sitting a very young child alone. But I know of many times where a parent was close to the child <7 but not immediately next to them.
