Not sure how to answer that. Here is what schawarma is:
Shawarma is made by placing strips of meat or marinated chicken on a stick; the meat is then roasted slowly on all sides as the spit rotates in front of or over a flame for a period of several hours (rotisserie). After cooking, the meat is shaved off with a knife.
So it isn't chicken on the bone and it isn't pieces of chicken just off the bone. Can't tell you I have any idea what part of the chicken it originally came from.
Had it on Friday-- it looked like white meat to me-- but it's got spices on it and everything, so it's hard to tell. It was yummy, but I think I liked the lamb better-- DH prefered the chicken, though! --Katie
I am not a "foodie"...lol so I really appreciate all of your answers, esp. the descriptions! Very helpful. DH is much more adventureous in trying new foods where I am very nervous to say the least!
Another *fabulous*vote from me. I am pretty sure it was white meat. I can tell you that we tried this combo plate for the first time this past Sept and it was, without a doubt, my favorite CS meal. I cannot wait to have it again in June! It is a perfect *sharing* plate.
white meat -- click on my Sept. dining review below, go to post #30 and scroll down to my review of Tangieriene Cafe -- there's a picture of the platter. The lamb is the darker meat at the top of the plate (looks kind of like flank steak sliced thin) The chicken is the slices of meat at the bottom of the picture - clearly white meat - looks like slices of breast meat.
