Question about Crocs

Ok, in all honesty, I have never been a fan of the crocs, but now they are starting to look pretty appealing. I have always heard good things about them. I guess I'm just a little weary about spending 30 bucks on them and then they are not comfortable for me. I love shoes that are open, tennis shoes tend to make my feet feel to constrited. I want to try out the crocs before going to WDW but my question is what kind? I'm diabetic, so I looked at the ones made for diabetics, they are sooo wide my feet float in them. How are the Mary Jane style? I am open to any and all opinions. Thanks

I hate shoes. I did not get the genetic female programming and I hate feeling like my feet are constricted in any way. I usually live in Birkenstocks year round (when I'm not barefoot) b/c I have a heel spur and I hate going out in the winter b/c I have to wear shoes/boots.

That said, I love, loVE, LOVE my Crocs. I have a regular Beach pair, Mickey pair, and Mary Janes. They are pretty much all I wear anymore. The air holes really keep my feet feeling fresh. They also have little nubs on the bottom that are like a little foot massage. The fit is supposed to be loose on the Beach/Mickey styles, the Mary Jane is a little more snug, but conformed nicely to my foot. I vendored at 2 conventions with a WDW vacation in between in just my Crocs and my feet never had a hot spot and never hurt.

I do have some of the Payless knock offs (AirWalks) b/c they are in tie dye (which is some of what I do), but they are not nearly as comfortable and are much warmer on my feet than the Crocs. I honestly believe it's worth the extra money for the real thing in this case, and I'm a budget-minded person.

Do they look stupid with socks, not the big white athletic ones but the colored funny socks? We are going to WDW in January and I'm worried that my feet will be cold. Thanks!!

They look fine with socks. DDs got some Crocs Socks with theirs and they love them. Mario Batali (the chef) wears his with socks all the time!

Who sells crocs? Are there different brands? Do little boys like crocs? I have slender feet, so would they be to big for me?

Just a suggestion...

I am a Croc fan... but my pair is generic that I bought at Walmart for $7.99. My mother also bought 2 pair of Airwalk "Crocs" at Payless 2/$15.

I wear socks with mine all the time (I'm in NH and it gets chilly). I have many pairs of different colored socks, so I just match the socks to my outfit and put on my Crocs.

Do little boys like crocs?

My sons are 6 and 4 and they both LOVE their crocs. It's all they want to wear. They each have a pair of knock offs and a pair or the real thing. I bought the knock offs to see if they would like them then I bought a pair of the real thing but the style without the holes so their feet stay warmer outside and don't get as wet if they splash through puddles on their bikes. I've noticed they go for the real thing ones more than the knock offs so I think they find those more comfy. They love having shoes in bright funky colors too. My oldest is just mad that he can't wear them to school (he has to wear a uniform and bright green or bright yellow shoes of any type are not allowed).

They aren't pretty, but they sure are comfy!

We all have the Payless "Airwalk" style Crocs and LOVE them. I purchased my first pair of the real Crocs and then went with different colors in the Payless ones and CANNOT tell the difference in the feel of them at all! My 9 yr old son loves them as well. Every time we go out our 2 year old says "Crocs"

I think they look fine with socks (as "fine" as crocs can look - ha! ). They're growing on me too... and I'm wondering about the Mary Janes.... Would you wear those with socks? Would you wear them without socks? Can they go either way as well? Hmmmm....

I started with the wal-mart knock offs, loved them and splurged this summer on a pair of the real things and love them even more..in fact I wore nothing else until it snowed. My DH bought me a pair of the mary-janes for xmas. Love these too..they are a bit tighter than the beach style and alot cuter. I'm dying to get some mickey ones for our trip in April. All my sons ages 10,7,4,2 want some too.
