Hi folks

So my family and I (by family I mean dad, aunt, uncle and cousins) are possibly going on a trip to Florida next June/July. I was thinking about getting t-shirts from Disney shopping cause the prices seemed right, but I can't figure out what to do about sizes.

I'm ok for the adults, it's just the kids that have me puzzled. The girls will be 11 and 13 when we go. They're both pretty average sized...I guess the 13 year old is on the slim and lanky size. Who knows what might happen between now and then in terms of growth though. But anyway, on that site the largest size in the kids section is a Large which translates to a size 12. I know this summer my aunt was shopping for a bathing suit for the younger girl and was looking for size 14-16. So...I'm thinking the Large might not work. I guess my question is...what size in the adult section would translate to about a 16 or so? Extra Small? They're not into princesses and the like so I would have an easier time getting them something the women's section anyway.

Also...I was shopping at Old Navy on the weekend and the largest size I saw there for kids was 14, too. What happened to 16? Would an Extra Small (specifically for pyjama pants) be the right size there, too?

Argh...so frustrating. The last time I shopped for clothes for a 12 year old was when I was 12!

Thanks for your help!

I find an extra large in kids t-shirts is the same as an adult small.

When dd was 11, I bought her an adult small - at the time, she was 50th % for height and weight. She's now 12, and wears usually an adult small or a size 2 or 4 (0 or 00 at Old Navy). She can wear a size 14, but now that she has an hour-glass figure (I hate her), they fit funny. Oh, and she's 5'2", about 95 pounds?
