Question about cleaning blow up pools

WE just bought one of the bigger blow up pools for our girls. You can't really swim in it, but more like splash around. It probably comes up to their knees (the water). Anyway, was wondering how to keep the thing clean w/out having to constantly empty and refill the pool. Can I dump chlorine straight into it? Will it eat through the pool? Help!

The best way to add the chlorine is to get a small pail or bucket, scoop up some pool water, and put the chlorine in there until it dissolves; then pour it back into the pool. You can pour it in, but the powder will lay on the bottom for awhile, and it's not very good for it.

Ask Bob...oh wait you said POOLS

nevermind

I've also poured in some liquid bleach, since it's got chlorine. Just be sure the kids don't wear in their new bathing suits right away.

THANK YOU so much for the websites and for posting this thread! We just bought one of these pools on the weekend and I couldn't figure out what to do with the chlorine, ph, etc.

The DISboard is absolutely amazing! I never expected to find an answer to my pool questions here! I should have known better! Thanks again! Lynda
