Question about Cat. 4 - Deck 8

Hi there!

We're considering taking our first Disney cruise, and I've been looking at cabin categories and deck plans, etc. I was wondering...for anyone who has sailed and stayed in a cabin on Deck 8 of the Magic...are those cabins quiet? I noticed that Deck 9 has the pools, and public areas, and I wondered if the cabins on Deck 8 were noisy because of all of the foot traffic and activity one deck above.

Somewhat noisy at night and again in early morning. Keep busy,go to bed tired, and don't worry about it. I'm a light sleeper and brought a white noise machine I never used. I also get up early so that was not a problem either. Lot of other posts on this very topic!

We just got back from a 7 day western cruise ( 11/6/2004 ) in room # 8030 on deck 8. Although you would sometimes hear a little noise from above, the great location being only 1 deck below all the action on deck 9, made this deck perfect for us. The noise was never loud or long enough to bother us.

we stayed in room 8044 very very little noise at night and very little in the morning some people out walking and joging we would plan on staying on this deck again on our next cruise any other quqestions just ask us

we were in 8028 last trip, and ocasionally in the morning we would hear someone dragging a pool chair

very soft noises, had no bearing on enjoying the location

I will always stay on deck 8

Stayed in Cat 4 on deck 8 and didnt have any problems apart from the night of the deck party, when some nosie was herd

We were in 8552 on the 11/11 Wonder. The only noise we heard was the occasional high-heels clomping across the deck, which we referred to as "The Clydesdales".
