Question about Cash/Traveller's Checks

Do the Cozumel and Grand Cayman stores and shops take Traveller's checks? Should we just bring cash?

yes, we have used both cash and travelers checks in both places.

Entry to Chankanaab park is cash only. Most other places take cash, trav. cheques, and plastic, although you might "bargain" better with cash. Guest services will cash trav. cheques for you, so you don't have to bring a lot of cash on board.
