Question about car rental savers site...

If you do your car rental booking through carrrentalsavers.com, are you booking with that site or with the actual car rental company directly? We never rent cars and this whole process is very confusing. I don't want to arrive at MCO and find a problem with the car rental we have since it will be very late in the evening. Thanks for any help.

I haven't used that site but I have used others, including expedia and carrentalmomma. Since I always rent from Alamo, even when using other sites, it hasn't been an issue. Once you get your confirmation number you can look it up on their system and/or make changes like adding coupon codes. And I have sometimes called Alamo to confirm that the codes I used and the price would be honoured by them -- it probably wasn't necessary but it made me feel better.

We have used car rental savers and had no troubles- we did go to the actual rental site (Dollar in our case) too and just put in your confirmation number so you can make sure it is all in their system. You can also get reservations at a couple different places if it makes you feel better. So far at Orlando we have always required a mini van and have always gotten one no problems.

We have used car rental savers many times and always found their prices very competetive. You choose your rate from whichever supplier you want. Make the reservation and pay when you check into pick up your vehicle from the supplier. We always thought they always had the lowest prices however when we went to book for our trip this summer we actually got a better rate from somewhere else. So do check around a bit.

I have just discovered a new (to me) car rental site that has given me a much better rate than carrentalsavers.com or anywhere else I can find.

www.autoslash.com gave me a rate of $207.00 for a 10 day rental, pick up at LAX and drop off at SAN. Carrentalsavers lowest rate was $315.00.

No credit card required and the best part is autoslash.com will automatically check daily for a better rate, book you at the new rate and then notify you by email.

Glad to help. It was just by chance that I found it since I had to rearrange my original travel dates.
