Question About Calling for Ressies

I have called several times, trying to catch a cancellation for Cindy's or for the new Princess Storybook breakfast for Sept 21-29. We need a table of 5. Would they automatically look for smaller tables when you call, or do they just specifically look for the table of 5? I wouldn't mind being split up, if necessary. Thanks!

I know for larger parties I have been offered 2 tables before. You might just want to mention when you call that you will take 2 separate tables.
