Question about buying Park Passes

Hi -- I have heard that in the past, Canadians have been able to find some deals on Park Passes in the fall/winter. We're planning and budgeting for our Dec vacation right now, so can anybody tell me how these deals have worked in the past? Were these deals available through the Disney Stores or through a non-Disney travel service?

I believe that the offer last year was buy one get the next half price, the passes were available at the disney store. They were for use from Jan to April/May if memory serves me correct. It seems that they usually announce what the deal will be sometime in October. Hope this helps!

In previous years, the passes were valid from November - April, but Disney's starting to get chintzey on a lot of things and, as Grover says, this year they were only valid from January - April. If the economy stays in the tank they may expand the Canadian deal back to November and December in the same way that they've got AP room rates right through December 24 this year. Be aware, though, that if they return to the old time period for the deal, there has in the past been a blackout period around Christmas and New Years when the Canadian deal passes aren't valid. If you're going in early December that wouldn't be an issue, but if I recall correctly, in past years the blackout dates were something like December 22-January 2.

I guess all will become clear when they announce their plans later in the fall.

Also around that same time CAA has tickets at par or buy 1 get 1 1/2 price. If you call the CAA they should be able to tell you what deals are available and when they will be vaild.
