Question about Bunkbeds in the Cabins

I don't remember when you are going but i thought of you when i was at the fort a few weeks ago (remembering this post). My DS slept on the top bunk. My DH and i were on the double bed but we have a King at home so it was a little tight so after the first night i switched to the bunk bed. I spent most nights with my feet propped up on the ladder cause my feet hung off a little. i'm like 5'7 and a half and it was comfy to an extent but for someone bigger them me it wouldn't be.

Just an FYI

Thank you very much, CSHaydt for coming back and posting your experience! That is good to know.

Just back 2 weeks ago with our first stay at the cabins. We loved most things about them....except the beds. We cooked both inside and outside and loved our picnic table and a little more privacy.
DH and I sleep in a queen at home but have used a double many times. We felt that the double in the bedroom felt small. And we had to push it away from the wall. Both the double and murphy mattresses left a little to be desired. I'm 5'6" and could not move vertically alot in the bunk beds but they did have the best mattresses. Our 6'4 and 6'3" son in laws did not fit in the bunks laying straight. There is also very little room for clothes we felt, especially for 6 people staying a week. We loved so many things about the cabin and fort but the beds might be the deal breaker.
We have stayed everywhere from deluxe to mods to value and these were our worst beds.
Sounds like we are in the minority though.

Thanks, wld for posting your thoughts on the bunkbeds!

We stayed in the cabins last week, our first experience, and sadly probablly our only experience as my daughters were both allergic to something in the Cypress Forest. I will say though that the beds were not that bad. My DD slept up on the top bunk and my hubby who is 6'3" could climb up there and snuggle with her. Grant you there is no way he would have been able to stretch out, and even had issues with the full size bed in the room. My parents slept on the Murphy bed and said it was okay, not good not bad.
So all in all the beds were so so, however we loved having the extra room in the cabin as there were 6 of us, Mousekeeping was fantastic, and being able to cook some of our own meals really helped us stay on budget with a splurge here or there. I wish the girls hadn't been allergic to something there, becuase it really was a nice place to stay.

Thanks CooperPrincesses for posting about your experience with the bunkbeds.

Glad to hear that you and your family enjoyed the cabins but sorry to hear that your girls had an allergic reaction.
