Question about Bookings

We have finally decided on the resort we want. We are buying Animal Kingdom DVC Resale. We live just a little over an hour from Disney. I do want to be able to make a last minute reservation for a night here or there. Ok know that won’t happen during Christmas. But, what about Sept - Dec?

That’s DVC peak season. Probably will be tough depending on the type of accommodation you want.

Toughest time of the year, but if it is truly one night at a time, you'll have opportunities.

If you are flexible with dates, add waitlists, and regularly stalk the site, I think you can make it work for last minute getaways.

Well, all timeshares work best when you plan well ahead, however last minute reservations are easiest at SSR and OKW and AKZV and generally 1 bedrooms are easier than studios and you can pretty much forget about standard studios at last minute trips

Mid September to Mid November is actually a good time to visit and not so crowded

If you won’t be using the 11 month window for AKL, not much point in buying there specifically. Just something to consider if your bookings will all be within 7 months of the stay.

What is last minutes? Anything within 60 days can be taken for breakage so finding rooms within that timeframe can be hard.

Is it impossible? No. But, as already mentioned, mid September to mid January is the busiest DVC time..so even one night might take work. Waitlist, stalking, etc.

You will certainly need to be flexible with dates and room sizes.
