question,
A friend of mine who is going to wdw in july, booked her vacation about 3 weeks ago. she was booking at All star movies, when she booked they upgraded her to POR riverside. Well yesterday she called to add on the dining package and they said she couldnt add it because she got such a good deal on her room. anyone ever heard of this? i can see if it was free dining, not getting both deals but since she would be paying for the dining-I dont get why they wouldnt let her. any ideas?? :confused3

She doesnt appear to be combining discounts so I would call again and speak to a different CM.

I thought they wouldn't let you get the dining plan if you got any sort of a discount on the resort room reservation. "Package" in Disney-speak usually means "rack rate".

I booked a bounceback (30% off YC) when I was there last week. CM told me I could add tickets and dining package up to 72 hours in advance of my trip.

I would call and talk to someone else.

she got a "flex" offer. The CM cant touch and but guest services should be able to mod it.

You can't just add the dining plan. You have to purchase it as part of a package. She'll need to purchase tickets for everyone on the reservation as well. She may need to pay rack rate for the room, too.

When we booked with a 40% PIN code, the first CM I dealt with, said no, cannot book as a package. I called back to upgrade resorts and the CM I spoke with then OFFERED me the option to book as a package (40%off room and then full price for the tickets and dining plan). Call back and speak to someone else.

Why is noone listening to me. Its a flex offer, not a pin code. Guest services has to modify the package. Its a random package that pops up to get someone to upgrade from a value to a moderate or a moderate to a deluxe. The CM cannot modify it.

On your confirmation it will even say something like "Port Orleans Riverside MYW Flex Offer +Dine- 5DAY PH"
