Hi guys! I’m trying to get BOG lunch for 5. Since it is common seating, I was thinking of trying for separate reservations 2 + 3 in case I can’t get one for 5. Has anyone had luck doing this? Will MDE allow you to have 2 concurrent reservations on the same account? Thanks!

If you are trying to make the overlapping reservations on the same MDE for the first one you need to have it under a different name than your own. I don't believe it will allow you to change an existing reservation, you'd need to do this when first booking. This will allow you to book the second one with an overlapping time. If you have multiple MDE just use those for the other times its easier.

A lot of people do this for BOG breakfast and lunch since it's quick service and they fill to capacity instead of by table. Make sure the two times are close enough together.

Are you already within the 180 day window? If not, first try searching for 5 instead of looking for smaller groups. You might be surprised what is available. Lunch is a lot easier to get than dinner.

I have heard, but not experienced, that reservations for an even-numbered party might be easier to obtain so try asking for 6 and see what happens. You can cancel one upon arrival and will not be charged. As to split party reservations, you cannot "manage" both reservations so you need to select someone else from your party to be the manager. I ran into this exact situation when reserving CRT as tables of 6/4. I just assigned another family member in MDE (we are all in one) to be the manager and it worked fine.

FSU Girl is right. Make the first reservation using someone else as the primary from your account. Then you can make the next reservation under your name. If you do it in reverse, it won't let you make two (I know from experience LOL).
