Question about birthday buckets and Princess Jewelry Box

We'll be celebrating my daughter's 6th birthday at Disneyland this year...but we won't be there on the actual date. Does that matter? Can she still get a birthday button and cake/cupcake, etc.? Do we need to show her birth certificate (I read that on another thread and wanted to double check)?

Also what's in a birthday bucket and the princess jewelry box? And any idea how much those little Mickey cakes are that you can decorate yourself?

Thank you! :)

I can tell you that you can definitely get a button without it being her actual b-day. They won't ask for a birth certificate. :goodvibes
I think you are talking about the birthday celebration at the Plaza Inn where you each decorate a little cake (it's in a Mickey shaped plate, but the cake is actually round). The cost is $15.99 per person I believe.

Oh okay...so the Mikey Mouse cake that you decorate yourself is only at the Minnie & Friends character breakfast at the Plaza Inn then?

Is that were the birthday buckets and princess jewelry box is too? Or can they be found at Ariel's Grotto too?

The birthday celebration thing that I am talking about is at Plaza Inn, but not the Minnie & Friends breakfast. I can't think of the exact name. When we did it several years ago it started at 2:30 I think. It's hosted by Pat E. Cake and you each decorate the little cakes. Mickey and Minnie make an appearance. Here is a recent thread:

You can get the birthday buckets at several restaurants, I just don't know for sure which ones (Ariel's Grotto, you can).

You can get the b'day button b/c you're celebrating it, and you can BUY anything you want.

The birth certficiate thing is about getting in free ON your b'day. You have to prove that that exact day (except in the case of leap day b'days) is the birthday, if you're taking advantage of this year's promotion.

I was told that the Mickey buckets are still being sold, but I ahven't seen them. The treasure chest cakes are tiny, and the cakes in them are even tinier.

My son was very glad that we just went to Haagen Dasz for his b'day dessert instead. :)

We did not get the birthday buckets, but we ate at Ariel's Grotto during our trip last week, and ds had his birthday button on (it was the day after his actual birthday). The server brought him a birthday dessert with a candle and everyone sang to him. He was so stuffed from lunch that he could barely eat any of it - I was happy to help him him finish it though :rotfl2:.

I worried about him not having a cake on his birthday, but honestly, he got SO much attention during the trip with his button, he did not even notice!
