Question about Best Rate Plan

I'm a bit confused and unknowledgeable on this topic. I'm looking at taking a trip in early February. Now, my AP expired already, and I'm not sure if I'll be taking more than 2 trips next year.

Without the AP, does the best rate plan allow you to receive the AP rate, or do you have to have the AP to get the rate?

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I don't know much about the best rate program.

No question is ever dumb!!

In order to book a Best Rate, you need to have an activated adult AP or an adult voucher.
