Question about AP room only rates.....

I'm considering purchasing an AP if I can get a room only discount. Is there a way to check and see if they're any discounts left before I purchase the pass?

The codes usually come out a few weeks to a few months before travel time. You can wait to see if any come out before you purchase your AP. You do not have to have the AP until check-in, not at the time of booking.

I should have mentioned that I'm traveling the beginning of January, so my code is out now. But I was wondering if I can look online or call to see if they are still discounts available even though I haven't yet purchased the AP?

You can't go online without a voucher number, but you can call and get an AP quote before you have your AP in hand.

Right now the AP rate for studios - at least at VWL is cheaper than my regular woods view with an AP. I'd definitely call and find out the rates!

I am very disappointed with AP rates for Jan. I priced both BC waterview & WL honeymoon suite & did better with AAA rate. It looks like they are taking $50 off deluxe rooms so if you have a higer priced room you do better with AAA. So it depends on where you are staying in Jan if AP rates will be of benefit to you.

I have called 2 or 3 times already to see if they have any studios avail. over MLK weekend for 4 n at VWL - none avail. so far when I've checked. We DO have a studio booked there with our DVC discount tho so at least we have something... But so I just tried to call the AP Hotline again this evening and their computers were down! I know the rooms come in & out of inventory frequently so I keep checking back - but it's a pain. I am still hoping to beat the DVC rate if I can...
