Question about Airtran credit if price goes down...

So I know that your account can be credited if your flights go down in price (this happened last year)...but now that I signed up everyone in my family with an A+ rewards number, will THEY get their own credit, or can I get all the credit?? Make sense? I'm asking since DH and I will only be traveling next time and if, say, the price goes down $10 one way...I would like to get that $60 credit to go towards my next flight...instead of $10 per person.

I didn't know about this, great to know! Do you need an A+ card to get the credit? Can I sign up for one now having already purchased my tickets?

You don't have to have a A+ rewards card to get a credit. If the price of your flight goes down, just call and ask for the credit. They will apply it under the confirmation number that you booked the tickets under. You then have one year from the original booking date to use the credits. It doesn't mean you have to fly before that year date, just have to have one booked before that date. You can also use it for upgrades or luggage fees.

AWESOME!! Im glad you can use it towards upgrades or better yet luggage fees!!!!! (for the original flights you booked right?) Gosh I hope this is true, cause were booking as soon as i can get home today!!!

Yep it is true. I used our credits on our last flight to upgrade us to business class. We could have used it for luggage, but when you upgrade your luggage travels for free and you get more room and better seats to boot.
