Question about add on

I want to add on a small contract at the Grand Californian enough for me to go once every 2-3 years. I am aware that DVC members who purchased at Disney land in California will have exclusive buying oppourtunities for 60 or 90 when they start selling the resort. Should I call my guide and let him know what I am interested in or should I wait until Disney Announces VGC? Opinions?
