Question about AAA discounts

Everyone has said that your AAA membership is good for discounts for you and your immediate family. I'm going with friends, and we are not all AAA members. If we go to a restaurant and get 1 check, does the discount apply to the entire check, or just the AAA members meal?

Yes if it is all on one check only one person needs to show their AAA card
