Question about a SSR reservation

I was looking for some input....I am renting a 1 BR at SSR from a DVC member, but really need a 2 BR now. The owner I'm renting from has no more points to rent out, therefore, I'm wondering if I rent points from someone else for a studio only what would be the odds of getting that room next to my 1 BR villa at SSR? Any help/ input would be much appreciated!

You are at the mercy of the room assigner since this is just a request. Make sure that both reservations reference each other.

Another option, though it may not cost as many points as renting a one bedroom and studio, would be to see how many nights the point from your current one bedroom would get you in a two bedroom. Then rent the rest of the nights (if available) from another owner and link the reservations. Points from the two owners can not be used for any one night, so you will surely lose a few points from your one bedroom reservation. Either way, it is a fairly complicated scenario, whether you simply rent a studio from another member, or try for switching the one bedroom and renting the remaining 2 bedroom night from another member.

As someone else said, the likelihood of getting the adjoining studio is not too good, but you should be able to get two units close conveniently close to each other. Just remember you need at least one adult (18+) in each unit.

If you ask, it's likely you can get the two connected but no way to know for sure. Chuck's suggestion is the only way to be sure.
