My DF and I are getting married on Sept. 10, 2008, and I was wondering if anyone that is already under contract for 2008, would be willing to share the discounts that guests are receiving by booking a room at WDW, and what the discount is for park passes? I am thinking of using Grand Floridian, Port Orleans and Coronado Springs as my block. I am not sure what the discount would be for my DF's and my room if we activate our annual passes while we are there, since we will definitely be returning in the Summer of 2009. We are talking about staying at the Grand Floridian the whole time, since we will be having our ceremony at the WP and our reception at the St. Augustine ballroom at the Grand Floridian. We originally planned on staying at the Wilderness Lodge, and then spending our wedding night at the Grand Floridian, but it just seems like so much moving around if we have to check out of our room at Wilderness Lodge by 11:00AM the day of the wedding, and cannot check into the honeymoon room at the Grand Floridian until 3PM the day of the wedding, and then have to check out the next day to move into a different hotel there at WDW for one more day before departing for our honeymoon. I am not sure what is going to work best. My mother thinks that we should consider renting a villa at the Saratoga Springs DVC. My cousin is a cast member at WDW and can get us a 50% discount there, as well as some of the other resorts (mostly moderate) in WDW. I am not sure if it would be better to plan to go through him, or through our planner for booking our rooms. HELP!!!! I am working really hard to stay within our budget, and I am hoping someone could share with me these details so that I can be prepared, and so can my family. THANK YOU
